THE LAW OF LIFE IN CHRIST – Part 1

Updated: 7 days ago

Author: Yedidiah Baraka

Romans 8:2

“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”

The word law here refers to an operating principle—like the law of gravity. The Spirit of Life is what we received when we were born again. And just as gravity works freely without our effort, the Spirit of Life also works freely.

You don’t work to obtain gravity—you simply learn how to cooperate with it. The same is true with the Law of Life. It is not earned, but lived in.

“You don’t work to obtain the Law of Life; you simply learn to use and cooperate with it.”

The Law of Life – A Governing Principle

The Law of Life governs every area of your life, just as the law of gravity governs everything on earth.

1 Corinthians 15:45

The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening (life-giving) spirit.”

The first Adam carried human limitation. The second Adam, Christ, brought us a new governing reality—the Life of God.

And just as gravity works everywhere, whether you acknowledge it or not, the Law of Life is constantly at work in your born-again reality.

“The Law of Life governs all things pertaining to us now.”

Awareness and Application

Gravity works the same on toddlers as it does on adults. But lack of knowledge makes a toddler stumble or fall. As they grow in awareness, they learn to harness gravity—crawling, walking, running.

The same applies to believers. Many are oblivious to the Law of Life within them, and because of this ignorance, they fail to reap its full benefits.

“Awareness is what transforms automatic laws into purposeful living.”

To live victoriously in Christ, you must be aware of the Law of Life and exercise yourself in it daily.
